My award winning, lyricist girlfriend, Amanda Yesnowitz, is writing a new musical about our May/December love story. We will be debuting a work-in-progress concert version of the show at Oldcastle Theatre in Vermont after I close Red. She is writing the musical with composer Doug Katsaros. The reviews are in for Red. The Bennington Banner says, "McGrady nearly stole the show when delivering the play's pivotal monologue...McGrady had us silently rooting for his breakthrough". Read the full review here. The Berkshire Edge says, "McGrady, who has been playing with small finessed expressions up to this point, allows his opinions and his emotions to burst forth into actual fire". Today is your last chance to catch me playing Edmund in Long Day's Journey Into Night. Working on this play and with this cast has been one of my favorite theatrical experiences. We have created something truly special. "Brendan McGrady in a beautifully shaped performance that shows as much spine as vulnerability." -The Berkshire Eagle Read the full review here. Come by Oldcastle Theatre today to see what everyone is talking about. More info at www.oldcastletheatre.org Another great review for our show! "McGrady's representation of O'Neill in Edmund had just the right balance of understatement, disdain, and the desire to be someone else, his own man, yet still cognizant of his family's anchor around his neck. The young actor impressed with the intensity he poured into Edmund's inner angst." -Bennington Banner Read the full review here. Come check us out before it's too late! www.oldcastletheatre.org Long Day's Journey Into Night is finally open and it is getting great reviews. It has been such a pleasure working on this beast of a play. "Brendan McGrady as her baby boy, living with illness and self-abuse, is forceful and charming at the same time. Playing the young Eugene O’Neill, his Edmund is never a shadow of the author, but rather a fleshy, vibrant, living tribute to its origin. His pain is felt by the audience. His anger is swift and fails instantly. His relationship with each of his relatives is tense and torrid and tempered by his need for their support. McGrady is excellent in the role, attracting our support ,as well." -The Berkshire Edge Read the full review here: https://theberkshireedge.com/theatre-review-oldcastles-long-days-journey-into-night-handles-the-dark-with-an-interior-light/ Come see it before it's too late!
